A stupid plagiarism in the article «  Ethnopharmacology and phytochemical screening of bioactive extracts of Limoniastrum feei ( plombagenaceae) » Asian Journal of Natural & Applied Sciences, Vol. 2(1), 5-9, 2013.

It’s well known that plagiarism is considered mis­conduct research, unethical,  perturb and damage the integrity and knowledge of the scientific community. In addition that is a form of violation of copyright law and is therefore illegal. Whereas matching an integral article (Copy and paste) from another scientific journal is a potential plagiarism qualified unjustified attitude and a stupid practice. The most striking case, is the copy and paste of our article published since 2012 in this journal (PhytoChem & BioSub Journal   Vol. 6  N° 2, 83-87, 2012)  by another “ scientists” -  L. Ziane, H. A. Lazouni, A. Moussaoui, N. Hamidi - and published in Asian Journal of Natural & Applied Sciences, Vol. 2(1), 5-9, 2013. Thus, any one, authors or publisher not condemn and promote these practices should be automatically disqualified from scientific research.

Phytochemical screening and antibacterial activity of aqueous extracts of Citrullus colocynthis seeds

Skin, gynecological and lung infections are caused by microorganisms exist in the world. The treatment of these infections is mainly based on the use of synthetic drugs that become, in recent years, ineffective, due to the resistance of bacterial strains and the proliferation of opportunistic fungi. The aim of this study is to test in vitro the antibacterial activity of aqueous extract from seeds of Citrullus colocynthis which was detected phytochemical families existing. These antimicrobial powers are measured using the micro-dilution method against the Gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853) and Gram-positive (Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212 and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923). The results showed that seeds of C. colocynthis are rich by bioactive substances. All tested extracts of C. colocynthis showed antimicrobial activity against all strains tested.. The folk medicinal use as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent is validated

Synthesis of D2 (1,2,3)-Triazolines via 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition between organic azides and 1-morpholinocyclopentene derivatives

The synthesis of some bicyclic D2-1,2,3-triazolines performed by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction between cyclopentenic enamines and arylazides, at room temperature in ether, led to the expected triazolines with yields which vary according to the structure of the arylazide and enamine. The structure of the obtained triazolines was determined by the usual spectroscopic methods: (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR).

Comparative study on the vibrational IR spectra of N-aryl imidazoline-2-(thio) one derivatives by various semi-empirical methods

The vibrational IR spectra of several derivatives of imidazoline and their dipole moment have been calculated using the MNDO , AM1 and PM3 methods , using Jaguar software and the results are compared with those calculated from ab initio and density functional theory (DFT) calculation. The ability of the semi empirical methods to predict the vibrational frequencies has been probed.

Antimicrobial activity of essential oils of Bubonium Graveolens (Forssk.) and Anvillea Radiata (Coss.).

Aims of the work is to study the antimicrobial activity of essential oils of two endemic medicinal plants of the Southwest Algerian: Bubonium graveolens Forssk (Tafs), Anvillea radiata Coss (Nogd), testing their antibacterial effect on four bacterial strains: Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus steorothermophilus and Staphylococcus aureus. At the concentrations studied, both species manifested significant antibacterial property with a zone of inhibition more than 11 mm noted for Pseudomonasaeruginosa by the effect of the essential oil of Bubonium graveolens.

Biomonitoring air pollution with the lichen Xanthoria parietina.

Our work focused on biodetection of air pollution by hydrocarbons in three stations of the Wilaya of Ouargla in Algerian Sahara namely, Hassi Messaoud (HMD), Haoud Berkaoui (HBK) and the center of Ouargla (OGX). We used lichens from the north of Algeria as biological model after transplantation in order to evaluate the effects of this pollution. The levels of hexane soluble compounds (CSH) exhibit variation over time for all three stations taking into account that the station HMD presents the highest values ​​compared to other stations. The ratio MF/MS reveals fluctuating but more or less declining values especially for HMD.

Ethnopharmacological survey and phytochemical screening of some medicinal Asteraceae from Algerian Sahara

A first report of Asteracea species census of the Algerian folk medicine, currently used in Sahara for the treatment of illenes is presented. 11 Asteraceae species namely: Anvillea radiata coss, Artemisia herba-alba, Brocchia cinerea, Bubonium graveolens, Cotula anthemoides, Echinops spinosus, Launaea arborescens, Launaea nudicaulis, Launaea resedifolia, Scorzonera undulata and Warionia saharae were selected based on the survey through interviews with local inhabitant, herbalist in the Souk and old women according to our previous works. Ethnopharmacolgical potential and chemical constituents of this species are described.

Microbiological level control of contaminating microorganisms in the production of milk at a state dairy industry Southwest Algerian

This study is a contribution to the adaptation of a system of quality control of processed namely HACCP to master the microbiological hazards encountered in the manufacture of food products reconstituted milk and pasteurized milk acidified following an investigation that drive to establish a plan HACCP hazard Analysis with determination to master critical point (CCP, critical Control Point). Microbiological control of contaminating microorganisms namely coliform and thermo-tolerant coliform test performed in duplicate and concern reconstituted pasteurized milk, acidified 'The Lben, milk powder, which serves to close the preparation of the Lben , rinse water and drinking water.

Physico-chemical and biochemical characterization of Urginea noctiflora bulbes (Liliaceae) harvested from Ghardaïa (Septentrional Sahara Algerian): antioxidant and antimicrobial activities

Urginea noctiflora a spontaneous plant used as a traditional medicine in Ghardaïa (Septentrional Sahara Algerian).The bulbs were characterized. The amounts of total phenolics varied widely in the extracts and ranged from 0.48±0.28 to 9.81±1.84mg GAE/g dry material in hexane and ethanol extracts respectively. The amounts of flavonoids were ranged from 0.158±0.06mg to 1.03±0.167mg. Water-soluble polysaccharides are 5.33%. Total antioxidant capacity of the plant extracts ranged from 0.11±0.05 to 4.56±0.13mg vitamin C equivalent per gram of dry matter for the hexane extracts and ethanol respectively. All extracts were active against some or the entire tested microorganisms Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella thyphimurium, and Candida albicans.

Phytochemical profil and medicinal evaluation of a Saharan traditional preparation

We are interested in the chemical study of some traditional herbal preparations used to treat gastric diseases in Bechar region.  The traditional medicinal preparations used are the aqueous extracts of 11 medicinal plants (aerial part, leaves, seed), and the results of medical tests of preparation have shown interesting activities on gastric symptoms.

Study of the toxicity of the crude acetone leaf extract of Euphorbia guyoniana Boiss. and Reut. (Euphorbiaceae) in Schistocerca gregaria (Forskål, 1775) (Orthoptera-Acrididea)

This study examines the effect by ingestion of leaf cabbage sprayed with crude acetone extract of Euphorbia guyoniana leaves harvested in the Algerian Sahara on some biological parameters of larvae L5 and adult of desert locusts. The ingestion of cabbage leaves soaked in acetone extract of this Saharan plant generates a 100% mortality in larvae L5 and 66,67% for adult. A significant reduction in food intake was observed in the treated population compared to the control population. It results in a loss of exceptional weight ranging from 26,93% in larvae L5 to 33,09% in adults. Difficulties and anomalies are observed in moulting 16,66% of larvae L5 fed with cabbage leaves soaked in leaf extract of E. guyoniana. Dissection of adult females of the lot processing allows the observation of body regression demonstrating the depressant action of this extract on ovocyte cycle in the desert locust.

Characterization and qualitative composition of the essential oils from six medicinal plants by IR spectroscopy

In this work we develop analytical techniques which avoid on first  time the chromatographic separation. We based on the comparison of infrared spectra (IR)  of  pure terpenes and sesquiterpenes that constitute the major compounds in the essential oils of the Saharan medicinal plants:  Bubonium graveolens, Launeae arborescens, Launaea nudicaulis,  Limoniastrum feei, Wrionea saharae and Zella macroptera.

Atropisomerism at C ̶ N bonds: Structural conformations and vibrational spectral study of Iminothiazoline Derivatives with density functional theoretical optimizations

The isolation of the pair atropisomers of the both iminothiazoline derivatives and the spectroscopic analytical of the compound have been computed using B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) level to derive the equilibrium geometry, conformational stability, molecular orbital energies and vibrational frequencies was studied in this paper.

Phytochimical Screening and antimicrobial activity of essential oils from Rhetinolepis Lonadioides grwing wild in Bechar region

The main classes of secondary metabolites were investigated by phytochemical screening in different organs of  Rhetinolepis Lonadioides.  We tested the antibacterial activity of the essential oil extracted by steam distillation (yield 2.52%) over five bacterial and five fungal strains.

Chemical variability of the essential oils of Coriandrum sativum L. and Pimpinella anisum L during vegetative development

We are interested to quantify and identify by GC the essential oils extracted by steam distillation of the fresh aerial parts of two aromatic plants: Coriandrum sativum L. and Pimpinella anisum L, according to their growth cycle (before, during and after flowering).
